Hebrews
2:3 Tells us the greatest need of man is salvation. "How shall we
escape if we neglect so great salvation?"
-
You
may ask, what is salvation? The very definition means delivered, preserved
from destruction or failure.
-
What
do we need deliverance and preservation from? The word is a small one,
that is the word Sin. Sin is willful, deliberate disobedience to God.
-
Genesis
3 in the bible tells us, that our first parents, Adam and Eve disobeyed
God's commandment. God said, "the day you disobey my law, you shall
surely die". what does that have to do with me, you may ask?
-
Romans
5:12 says "By one man (Adam), sin entered into the world. And so
death passed upon all men."
-
Romans
6;23 says," The wages of sin is death."
-
Romans
3:23 says, "All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God".
-
Now
that we understand sin brings death, we ask what can we do? We as humans
have no control over death! The latter part of Romans 6 says,"The
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord".
-
St.
John 3:16 states," for God so loved the world, that He gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have
everlasting life".
-
2
Cor. Tells us," Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures".
-
Galatians
1:4 says," Who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us
from this present evil world".
-
Matthew
3:2 Jesus said," Repent and believe the gospel." Repent means
to turn from our own way and go God's way, and trust in the gospel, the
good news that Jesus paid your sin debt.
-
Ephesians
2:8-9 says," By grace are you saved through faith and that not of
yourselves, it is the gift of God".
-
Friend,
will you not now acknowledge your sin to God and ask him to forgive your
sins and take God at his word!
-
Romans
10:13 says,"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved".
-
You
can believe God's promise for the Bible says," It is impossible for
God to lie". (Hebrews 6:18)
-
Be
saved today- receive eternal life through Jesus Christ!
