A note from Rev. Brian Kerley, the Youth Pastor:

I want to first thank you for the time you have taken to visit the Millersville Baptist Church website.

My wife and I are extremely excited that God has placed us into the youth ministry with such a great church and youth program. God called me to be a preacher on January 27, 2008.

At that time God started leading me into the youth ministry. Since realizing this call to the youth ministry, it has been the goal of my wife and I to see young people realize their need for the Savior. Once this need is met, our goal is to assist in making these young people great for God.

MY Group
Our oldest youth group, known as the MY Group, is for ages 12-18. The MY Group is a place of developing relationships for youth.

First and foremost our main goal is to see young people grow into a deeper relationship with God. We seek, with God's help, to develop this relationship through hands on Bible studies and service projects.

Our desire is to see many "Daniels" come out of this group; young men and women taking a stand for Jesus in the world in which they live.

To see these "Daniels" come out of our MY Group, we as youth leaders, have to show them that God does have a standard of living in their day to day walk.

This standard of living has to be walked each and every day so that we can have a blameless testimony in front of a lost and dying world.

Another relationship that we try to develop is one amongst the youth themselves.

We think that this is very important so that our youth feel comfortable with each other, so that they know they have peers that are ready to stand beside them in their day to day walk with Christ.

This relationship can be grown through group outings and other fun activities in which the youth get to know each other better.

GA's & RA's
Girls-in-Action (GA's) and Royal Ambassadors (RA Boys) mission groups provide mission study and experiences for children in grades 1-6.

They meet twice monthly. The goal is to help them learn and understand the Great Commission in Matthew 28: 19-20 and their part in completing it.

Cross Kidz
Cross Kidz is a Bible based curriculum designed especially for children in grades 1-6 attending Millersville Baptist Church.

It has 3 components: Bible Memorization, Bible Application and Bible Knowledge. Students work through a grade level appropriate workbook.

Internal and external rewards are earned throughout the year. A main goal is to develop a love for God and His word that will continue to grow as they grow.
